Be Still in the Moment
This is a wonderful time to focus on you and your baby in a deeper way in pregnancy.
When we truly relax our hearts calm, our breath flows and our minds re focus and find clarity.......
A few minutes worth of pure relaxation is worth a lifetime
The mind body connection is very powerful and for mums to be the connection is even more intuitive and awesome
It is a wonderful opportunity to harness some of this creative energy and life force
By relaxing the natural energy flows freely and there is a a sense of balance and harmony
This in turn flows positively to your baby.
There has never been a better time in your life to find some quiet time and learn some amazingly
effective relaxation and breathing techniques
Now you are in you third Trimester please give yourself permission to rest and relax a little more each day
You may have stopped work and adjusting to being at home full time
You may have moved house or be redecorating the spare room into a nursery
Your thoughts may be focused on preparations for the baby and of course the ‘big’ birth event
You may feel anxious and stressed. Don’t worry. These are natural feelings for virtually every mother to be!
Relaxation & wisdom for labour.....
Try to let go of the mental process and trust in your instincts.
When you relax your mind, you are more able to relax your body
When in pain or fearful a body reaction can be to tense up and resist
By learning to release you are allowing; in particular, the major muscles of the uterus to act more effectively which
could result in a shorter and more efficient labour
This could also result in the need for less pain medication, and therefore less risk of side effects for both you and your baby
Also, the unconsciuos mind senses stress as 'danger' signal and may interpret it as not a good time to give birth
This conflict between mind and body can result in the reduced production of oxytocin. This hormone influences the power
and effectiveness of your contractions. Therefore a reduced supply may result in a longer labour.
By bringing your awareness into your conscious self with relaxation, you can harness your inner reserves
of strength, focus and power.
Have confidence in you, and know that you can handle anything. You are amazing.
