Uncurl Release Let go

Stretch OutStretching after exercise helps you "wind down" and lengthen out the muscles you have just worked.

Stretching can be a powerful tool to releasing general muscle tension and improving posture.

Be aware of the effects of relaxin on your muscles and joints.
It's 'relaxing' effect continues to influence your muscles and joints even after pregnancy and it can be 4 to 6 monthe before it returns to pre- pregnancy levels

Only take the stretches to a gentle and comfortable level. Once you have reached that point, hold the stretch and let your body relax into it. There is no need to force or bounce the stretch further.

The majority of these stretches are floor based. This is because it may be the only chance you have in the day for a lie down!
Also it makes them easier to do if your little person is awake as
they can simply lie on your tummy or on a mat next to you.

Connect and listen to your body.
Keep it soft and remember to let your breath flow naturally and easily.
Think of stretching as a time of wonderful moving meditation
